What do Twin Peaks, George Costanza, Pizza and Feminism have in common? They are all shining motifs in the collections of works the eclectic collection that is stace of spades art. Stace (yes the lowercase is intentional in her name) uses her work as a place to amplify her passions on a particular day, whether this be an enthusiasm for social justice, politics, or a fave character in a cult film.

"I'm not typically a big talker, and I don't write, so my art has to speak for me. It's also meditative and a way to work through my problems. I draw inspiration from pop culture, mental health, politics, and social "norms." Sometimes my art says "fuck your unrealistic and oppressive beauty ideals," and sometimes it just says "wow I really love Wes Anderson movies.""

Her story is a classic tale of a creative soul. She has found a way to intertwine work with the love she has for art. Calling all pipe-dreamers - she is a true example that an artists can live off of their creations.
