July 5th - ReShaping Our World: Cinema without Borders Film Series @ Walker Art Center

“As global borders close and millions are displaced, the Walker Cinema’s summer film series Reshaping Our World: Cinema without Borders considers the world’s restricted landscapes and people, those currently threatened by war, international intervention, and xenophobia…. The program draws from the rich tradition of filmmaking in these regions—both classic and contemporary films that redefine and reshape the landscape of stereotyped representations through cinematic technique and storytelling.”

July 7th - Chicano Batman @ Turf Club

This group of dudes in 70’s garb make some pretty sweet jams. If you’re into Devandra Banhart, Portugal. The Man or the Mild High Club you’ll definitely be into Chicano Batman. Their shows have been selling out all of the U.S. and now they’re coming to Minneapolis! Get down at this super psychedelic show.

July 8th - Hippo Campus & Polica @ First Avenue

Show your Minnesota pride yall! Hippo Campus, St. Paul natives and Polica, also Minneapolis-based, are coming together for one super rad night. Although somewhat different in style, these two bands playing at one show is a serious score. Dance to the upbeats tunes of Hippo Campus, then get down with Polica’s swirling sounds.

July 9th - Night Chain @ ICEHOUSE MPLS
